I'm 6'1 and about 225, I ideally would like a 600 shadow because I don't need a ton of power and will be sticking inside of 50 miles. Mainly want it for a fun ride in my off time. What's is anyone's recommendations and or suggestions. Can I make alterations to a 600 fit my frame or should I go up to a bigger bike and if so which would you recommend? Thanks

TJ Admin Staff memberModeratorMember who has the rights to delete posts, and ban members form forum if they violate the rules.@Bbake21 im 6' tall and LOVE my 600's bnut some people complain that the foot position is not far enough forward for them. if your elooking for more room i would definitely recommend a VT750, its got a little more room, not a ton, but its also going to feel more suited to your size most llikely. but the 600 can also be modified with some forward control extensions, and a lot of guys are happy with that mod.

I'm 6'3, 200lbs, I personally ride a vt1100, as it's more comfortable to me, but I also have long ass legs, short torso, so I found forward controls to be a must have on the hondas, 600-1100cc, and crash bars with highway pegs help!- I can sling my legs over them, get some Alabama AC as well 😂 I would also personally recommend an 1100 because I've found the low end torque to be very helpful of where I ride, a lot of hills, also within 50 miles, and it gives you the get up and go if you want to do a longer ride some time, you comfortably can! I would recommend sitting on all of the potential options, see which ones fit you best! Like TJ said, the 600 fits him great! Me personally, the 1100 is still just a *little* tight for me, still comfortable though. It's different for each person.
