This is my 1986 Honda Shadow 1100 that i have owned since 1999 and was updated in 2010 (attached image). I am now redoing it during the winter in preparation for the Spring 2026. She has been an absolute pleasure to own and ride. The only downside was no forward controls available so i had to learn welding to fabricate a set that is part of the redesign. Rides like a dream and plenty of power for young and Old like me!

  • @SMShadow86 thats a badass 1100 man!! love that!

  • @TJ Thanks so much TJ.  I will post pics once i finish the new mods. Just got your carb tuner kit and velo stacks so i can get some extra breathing and metering for my  vroom vroom. 😉

  • Hello! Bought my 99 Vt1100 roughly 5 months ago.

I'm what some people call "poor" so I've been building it as frugal as possible and with little time I have. (Between school full time, full time job, and full time dad/husband) I installed a cheap eBay springer seat, some Amazon turn signals for the rear, found an exhaust setup for $20 on FB marketplace, changed the headlight to led with newer housing, half ass installed a front fairing, purchased new-to-me foot pegs and z bars from the local mc swapmeet, rebuilt carbs with max performance kit and velocity stacks, fabricating a sissy bar and rear fender, purchased a front fender from fb marketplace as well that will be installed soon, also installed some cheap struts to replace rear shocks, once I'm done with fender and sissy bar setup I'll be painting the bike and hopefully have it back on the road within the next month. This is how it sat before I started tearing it apart and how she's sitting for the time being

  • Yamaha Bolt C-Spec converted to R-Spec with a turbo as of now

  • My 1999 1100

  • @TJ you ain't gonna believe it, but after getting the 600 some months ago and wanting just a bit more umph for 2 up riding.I started looking into the 1100 about a month or two before your video series on them came out, it's been terribly helpful.
And finally this week an absolute beaut showed up near me in the exact color I wanted, so I hopped over had a look and bought it then and there.

    Great condition 1996 shadow 1100 C2 ACE
It's got what I liked from the 600 but with more torque and more highway capable.
And the color, oh god the color... I am so in love with the yellow.

  • @Smeltie congrats man! whats a great looking bike!!  Just wait till you see the performance kits we have coming for the 1100!!!

  • @TJ I look forward to it.

  • @Angel718 great looking bike 🔥

  • My 07 Softail Custom that is slowly transforming to my vision...i call her the F-Bomb...

  • Got mostly stock 97 VLX600 back in August. The intent was to chop out the bike to see if I like doing this. If it goes well, the next bike will be a Shovel. All work is being done by myself. Fabrication, Welding, painting, and fucking up. Of course many parts are coming from TJ. Image below was one month into the build. I get about 2-10 hours a week to work on it so its taking me a long time. Much more work has been done since this and it currently doesn't look anything like the latest picture.

I want to ride this machine. Actually I have as of November. Right now it sits on my lift waiting on the tins to be painted. Aside from paint, shes getting extended forward controls. My knees are to far gone for sitting squatty potty style. I'm painting it myself without any prior painting skills. All the metal work is done. I need nicer weather to set up a portable paint booth. I could be another month away from being 2026 finished. There will be more to do in the future but this season will have some limits.

Anyway, here is a teaser. Hint for the final build, not a lane splitter. Next update when the paint is done.
