HD electra glide screamin eagle air filter cover on shadow 600

  • So, like the title reads, I made an adapter to fit a HD Electra glide Screamin Eagle air filter cover on my shadow 600.

WHY?! I hear you ask, and honestly... good question haha.
I honestly did not like the look of the original triangular filter cover, and managed to snag one of these covers for $4 online.
This also doesn't modify the original airbox, so the jetting and carbs remain untouched (for now)
I'm still in the process of designing a new inlay for the cover, as I didn't want the filter to read "Harley Davidson" as that just didn't seem right.

I have released the STL files for anyone interested here: https://www.printables.com/model/1512804-hd-filter-cover-for-shadow-600

    Some Photos:
Part printed in orange for better visibility in showcase photos.

Finalized part printed in a heat resistant material:

    That's all folks!

  • @Smeltie Thanks for sharing man! Most of my work is pretty heavily modified so i dont recall the last time i ran a stock filter, but i lov e the ingenuity here man! Thank you for sharing the files! Do you think i should start a section specifically for people to share their STL files for the community?

  • @TJ You definitely could!
However I am not sure how much it would be utilized given the lack of STL files on common sharing websites for shadows to begin with.

Most of us 3D printing tend to check sites like Printables or Thingiverse before anything else.
And there's not a long out there for shadows, so I fear that category may remain mostly dormant.
