06 VT750 choke

  I had nice chrome pipes when purchased end of last year.  Shortly after riding it they've yellowed.  My choke knob pushes itself back out about 1/8" after a ride.  Choke knob does stay all the way in right after it was pushed in though.  Could this cause the yellowing?  

  From a forum on Nighthawk 750s, my other bike, pipes can discolor from lean carb mixture as opposed to rich mixture from slight choke.  Yes 750 is inline 4, not V-twin, but I expect fuel mix effects to be the same

  @Dan Crilly single wall chrome will change color after time, yellow or blue. no matter how you're tuned. but if your choke is popping out thats not good. that means it is worn out and needs to be replaced. the choke on that bike is actually an enriching circuit, not a physical choke, so you are probably running a bit rich. replace the choke and you should be ok!
