I installed a Cobra Boulevard exhaust system and a K&N air filter with a Dynojet rejetting kit. I used the DJ102 in the front and DJ106 in the rear. I also enlarged the slide lift hole with the drill bit included with the kit. I followed everything exactly as the instructions stated.
I'm just wondering if this setup is viable. I get pops from the front cylinder when idleing and during deceleration. When I put my hand at the exhaust pipes, I can feel exhaust pressure from the rear cylinder but the front is significantly weaker.
I've been searching the internet for a step by step guide to tune the VT750 but haven't found much. Only guidelines.
Any input is appreciated
Also, would TJ Brutal Customs' Complete Performance Carb Rebuild and Tuning Kit be a better option? Or will it work with an exhaust system with baffles and a K&N air filter?
@John Patterson yeah man i never drill a hole in my slides. its not necessary and every time ive done it, ive ended up throwing them away. there is no real Step-by-step this is exactly how you tune it perfect buiode because every setup is going to reqwuire something different. i made an ebook that helps you understand whats going on so you can tune for whatever setup you have - https://shoptjbc.com/blogs/news/performance-tuning-book-lp
but the tuning is up to you.
I would reach out to cobra for tuning their exhaust. i can really only give advice on my own designs.
im not going ot say a rebuild kit of mine is going to solve your problems. but the drilled holes in the slides is no good.
@TJ what's the link to the ebook? you linked the discussion to this topic 😂
@John Patterson omg im so sorry! i fixed that but here it is for ya - https://shoptjbc.com/blogs/news/performance-tuning-book-lp
