This is now my 2nd bike the first one i got was a 1100 shadow with the shaft drive. I rode it for a summer and parked it up with plans to do a rebuild then i moved and havent had ther right opportunity to own a motorcycle again untill last Weds now im trying to research and plan as much as I can. my end goal is real easy rider lane splitter chopper i want extended springer forks with bunny ear bars with just a throttle cable running up.
That being said ive ran into my first major cosmetic hurdle my bike has this part https://www.partzilla.com/catalog/honda/motorcycle/2001/vt750dc-a-a-shadow-spirit-750/swingarm as im watching videos & comparing builds i realized this is not the optimal frame set compared to like how vlx600 has frame tubing https://www.partzilla.com/catalog/honda/motorcycle/2001/vt600c-a/swingarm
so my question is could i still achieve the look of have some frame tubing runing from the back with some kind of swap? Is it possible to buy the vlx part and just swap my swingarms? or is there a vt750 verison with this tubing style swingarm?
If not ill probaly pivot to just making this comfortable cusier to see as much of the US as possible while i search for the perfect platform for the kinda build i want.
As fairly novice builder / rider / enthusist i get tripped up with all the differnt trims and years so im hoping the form can help. any response is appericatied i hope this message makes sense as im not the best writer, thanks in advance
