2012 Softail Slim factory exhaust sounds like a sewing machine.

  New here. New to riding. I bought a Softail and would like to remove the baffles. Does anyone have suggestions as to how to do it without losing power, or having it backfire? I was also told it would sound like crap. Do you agree?

  @Softail_slim You're going to need to remove the mufflers Find the factory pinch Weld carefully cut all the way around the exhaust pipe just behind that Weld Once that ring is detached you're going to pull and twist the baffle core out using pliers or vice grips slams a hammer pry bar's needed and you're going to want to pull all the fiberglass out obviously using like a hanger or a hooked wire and then you want to grind any edges or sharp points with a grinder clean it up real nice and you should be good. The sound is subjective man It's gonna be louder for sure lol
