2002 Honda Shadow 750 ACE. 14,000 miles. Treated rough by the previous owner. Everything is factory original.
I'll be rebuilding the carbs in a couple of days. A friend said I should either drill out the jets slightly larger, or replace them with larger jets. Should I? I can, but want to be sure I do what's best for the bike.
Thanks in advance.
Terry
Just clean the carb really well before you start modifying it.
@Klaas Yeah, that I know. I'm just wondering if the mods would make enough improvement (or any at all) to make it worth the time/effort.
@Terry Walters please dont drill your jets for the love of all that is motorcycle, LOL~! this is a very inacurate and piss poor way of tuning. its not 1950 and we have jets readily available from many shops and online retailers.
We Also have a stock rebuild kit with will help you rebuild the bike properly. no drilling of jets. you want the VT750 Dual carb stock rebuild kit. its go everythign youll need! highly recommend a full rebuild and clean! it will be worth your time especially on a poorly treated bike.
@TJ Thanks, TJ. Will do. That's why, when a Harley-riding friend makes a suggestion, I come ask you first. Lol.
@Terry Walters happy trails Terry!
