Honda VTX1300 Start and kill switch relocation.

  Hello anyone that can help. I just purchased an 06' VTX1300 and I already have replaced the ignition with a switch and want to relocate my start and kill switch but when I connect the yellow and red to one post and the Bk/wh with the Bk/R (just like you would a 600 or 750) to the other post I can get the bike to start but no headlight....can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Because my harness has 7 wires where as the 600 & 750 have 6 wires in the harness and they aren't lined up remotely the same places. Also, my running lights do come on just not the headlight.

  @Tx_MattyLee because you removed the power source to the headlight. did you try using a voltmeter to see if the headlight is getting any power? or test the fuses so see if the headlight fuse is getting any power at all?
  
  its the exact same setup as the vlx. black and red power to thekill switch, which powers the blue and white wire which powers the headlight.
