I’m looking through Facebook marketplace I have found a 1986 Honda gold wing for sale. The lady selling it, her husband passed away about 9 months ago. The bike currently has about 9,500 miles on it and has been sitting for 10 years as he couldn’t ride anymore. The bike has been started periodically and let ran but not driven. She has said it needs a battery for sure but she isn’t sure what else.
This bike is in pristine condition. I took a look at it and it looks like it just rolled off the line. There's no rust. Nothing. Just super clean and looks ready to go.
I was just wondering with a bike that old and sitting in a garage for 10 years but should I be looking for when checking out this bike? I know the bike for sure has not been started for at least 9 months.
Major issues? Potential things I will have to fix immediately and things to fix once it’s able to be driven a little bit?
