How to install ALS plates, but do I need them with the velocity stack?

  • I just finished rebuilding the carb with the velocity stack on, I don't see or hear anything about the ALS plates in the rebuilding videos. I also want to know if it's a necessity when having the the velocity stack. Please let me know any info i'm still a newbie when it comes to bikes!!

  • @Kaden Denker i cant help if i dont know the year make and exact model of the bike

  • @TJ 2004 honda shadow aero! I also don't know where this hose goes to and it's sucking in air like my velocity stack. I may have made a rookie mistake and shouldn't the D bit screw be back inside my carburetor?

  • @TJ 2004 honda shadow vt750 aero

  • @TJ My carb is also not getting any fuel.

  • @Kaden Denker take the tank off the bike. look at the top of your cylinder covers. if they have the little ramp looking things with a nipple then you need the AIS plates. im prety sure all the AEROs need the AIS plates if yoiu get rid of the stock intake.

If you replaced your air fuel mix screw with a long handled screw from our performance tuning kit, then no you do not need the d-shaped screw which is your stock air fuel mix screw. if you did not use our long handled mix screw then you defintely need that screw put back in witht he proper washers and o ring and spring.

the hose that you say is blowing air... i have noi idea what its conected to. pull the tank and show where it goes to. that would help immensely.

  • @TJ this is the hose that's pulling in air and blowing out air like my velocity stack!

  • @TJ I believe this is the main fuel hose for my carb but it's not getting any fuel.

  • @TJ als plates go on here?

  • I just leave it diconnectdd here when i put the ALS plates on?
