2007 shadow vt750 dies when I let off the start button.

  2007 shadow vt750. The bike turns over and runs as long as I hold the start button in. It dies as soon as I let off the start button. The carburetor is brand new and is getting fuel. Also checked all the spark plugs and have spark. Not sure why it won't stay running. Any suggestions?

  Idle circuit is plugged, yes in brand new carbs there is crust inside some carbs. 

  Stripper down and sonic clean them. Make sure you clean all the tubes. Check the water when done, you will see a yellow tinge.

  Carbs start on the idle circuit, then transition to the main jet(s).

  When it starts, if it wont idle, you are straved for fuel or air in those pathways.

  The smaller the bike the harder it is to get the carbs cleaned out.

  At out shop we try 3 times, then recomend replacement. 9 out of 10 times the cleaner does the job.

  Cop asked me once why I had a 75 taillight on a 69 bike. I told him I got rear ended and went to the junk yard and got a bigger light. In fact the bike was a 75 with an outlaw 69 title :-O
