Question for adapting a Springer to fit 2003 VT750DC (Spirit)

  I have a vision for my build and that vision includes a Hardbody Antique style Black and Copper springer. I cant find one that "fits" however i have found some. What could be done to adapt one? What should key points should I be aware of to do this successfully? (Don't need to hear how difficult it will be, thank you)
