Hey Im retarted, got easy on me, its my first bike. Just want to pick ur brain. The other day I put gas (think I put to much) I let it get to top, then it went down, thought it wasn't full, so I filled to the top again. Total of 3 times. Left the gas station straight to my wifes job, parked & shut the bike off till she came out, she got on the bike fired it up struggled for a few mins then shut off. Tried again with choke on, was strong for a sec, chugged then shut off. Hasn't turned on ever since. Drained the Carb, wasn't much in there, changed the battery, change the spark plugs. Oil is good. Tried taking off all spark plugs & hit the ignition for a few sec to blow any excess fuel vapors out the cylinders then put plugs in tried & still doesn't start. Any suggestions??
@trinidad8998 have you checked to see that the petcock is actually delivering fuel tot he carb? your petock likely has an AFP, its integrated into the actual petcock. its a vacuum operated diaphragm that shuts off the fuel flow when the bike isnt running. Its a round thing with 4 screws holding it together.
to test - unplug the fuel line from the carburetor, point the hose into a fuel safe container. make sure the petock is turned on, and try and start the bike. fuel should flow easily.
personally i'd just replace the stupid thing. you can get a menual petock here - t.ly/51kuq
i'm not guaranteeing that that is the actual issue, but, its a known issue and the part was recalled by honda iirc. also, over filling your tank can result in the breather vent being plugged. which means the tank cannot draw air in as fuel leaves. the vent is a little tube under the tank whioch usually have a small hose attached to it, if this hose is pinched, full of dirt, or got some shmoo in it, the tank cant pull air in.
hope this helps!
@TJ thanks man. Looking into it as soon as I get home
@TJ You are the freaking man brother. She's running again, checked the petcock & found the vacuum line tube came loose because of damage to the tube. Cut the damaged part off & popped it back in and she's roaring. Thanks bro was going through riders withdrawals 😅🤣🤣😂🤣🏍💨😤
@trinidad8998 Glad you got it running, but... you need to bypass that AFP or go to a normal petcock. it will fail. Mine failed 16 miles form anything. pushing a heavy bike for 16 miles in leather and big boots is not fun.
Thanks bro watching your "AFP removal video" as we speak. Appreciate it 1000👌🤟
@trinidad8998 the afp on the 600 was separate from the petcock, for your model, they incorporated the petcock with the AFP. hence why i dropped a link for a regular petock.
