'93 vtx 600 crapping out under heavy load in higher rpm range.

  • First off gotta say, love the products designed for these ole rides, I've now given my vtx6 to one of my sons as his first bike and i have to admit, hes a chip off the old block, running it harder than I ever did, and thats saying something. a lil history, fully pro shop rebuilt the carbs with ALL of  the TJ goodies including the sweet brass velocity stacks, tuned as best they could get it with a shim in each carb. Now I dont claim to be the smartest cookie, but my suspition after riding it and ... beating the sheet out of it to make it repeat the condition... she be lean, stummbles pops and falls on her face a bit... dont get me wrong she is still pulling but, not like it could...

My question is anyone else have this issue? and would a second shim possibly feed more fuel at WOT and correct it?

  • @dallace bedard yourt post tells me you have not in fact read this - t.ly/5Ftln just gop through those and learn what you are doing and how to tune for each throttle stage.

one shim? You are def not done tuning! 😎
