it needs alot of work it used to be a bobber. but the guy thats selling it says it needs a battery a solinoid switch a pitcock that when it turned to reserve it leaks all the gas out and when it runs it leakes gas. it needs turn signals and probally a new chain and tires as well. is this a good deal or a bad one will it cost me more money to fix it than the bike might be worth.
@Earnest Smith awful deal. i will never pay more than 500$ for a bike that isnt running unless its some stupid rare knucklehead or something like that. $900 for a bike that doesnt run AND has a laundry list of problems? you havent posted pictures so i cant say what id offer but he wont get $900 for it unless he sells it to a blind kid.
I currently own a Harley Davison heritige classic 2004 model im only 5'5 and 130 pounds i am a new rider lol i took the MSF course. i still owe money on this bike but im trying to trade in for a sporster or a more beginer freindly bike. my credit isnt great right now so its making it difficult on that end. and i live in the country so i have a gravel driveway. so 700 pounds is alot to handle on gravel lol. something that is lighter would help with the gravel and i think mid controls would be better as well.
Possibility the tank is rusted, too. While not an issue if you will be replacing it, the rust will do a number on the fuel system. A bit of work. Just another issue to consider on the buy. Good luck
I think i just found a good deal a 2001 vulcan 650 for 500 bucks. it has two brand new carbs on it. and after tags and title 1190. new tires as well. i think this is a good deal. and it is a good beginner bike. so anyone else think this is a good deal.
Are you sure its a vulcan 650 from 2001?
its a 2001 kawasaki the model number is EN500C6 so i am going off of what the dealer told me it was a vulcan 650
I'm pretty sure, there was no Vulcan 650 in 2001. I tried looking it up for a while. Nevermind, the model number shows its a 500. Yeah, no 650 Vulcan in 2001. Dang though, bro. Your TT and L is more than the bike? Sucks. But, if you want a beginner bike and this one is running, yeah good deal. My first was 1800 and I probably over paid, but I loved that bike, and that's what matters. Good luck ro you, bro!
