2002 600 VLX deluxe- Velocity stack/re-jet/drilling out stock baffels

  I ordered a velocity stack and the performance tuning kit. I can't afford new pipes yet. If I drill out all the baffels from the stock pipes, would that be the same as running open/straight pipes?

  @Joshua Evenson Hey Joshua! unfortunately, no it will not be the same. theres still another baffle inside the muffler. and you cant drill it out.  you can get close with correct tuning,  but it will not perform the same as straight pipes. youll get a bit more power out of it, not a ton but againz is gainz! bear in mind the sound wont be the same!
