Hey first time posting I've bought quite a bit of parts and can't wait to buy more.
down to business. I've seen the fork slugs for sale and I like them, but all of the research I've done has made it sound like it would be a healthier decision to drink nuclear waste.
lots of talk about the forks failing at the threads. Are these things safe?
any thoughts?
@Connor Lowe LOL! dude theyre fine, theres a lot of shit talkers online. how many videos or images did you see?? My fork extensions dont go below the lower tree. Thats when shit fails. If the threads are between the trees, how can they fail unless you slam into a truck at 90mph, and frankly at that point, you've got more problems to be worried about than the fork extension threads.
when you do"research" online youll find theres a LOT of people who like to have an opinion about everything but youll find as i have over 20 years of doing this, VERY few of them have any actual experience and theyre just regurgitating imaginary BS. Get the fork extensions, youre gonna love the ride man! theyre safer than sex! !!
@TJ I'm highly considering getting the fork extensions for my '03 vt600cd. I have the stock forks on there and kind of want to keep the front brake. Is it at all possible to get away with not getting longer lines for the front brake if I get the extensions? I Iust wanna avoid doing brake work and grow the extra 6".
Kinda wish god blessed me with the extra 6" at birth but noooo I gotta go to Dr. TJ Brutal for an enlargement😂
@Zachary Geremia absolutely not. you will need a longer brake line. In the words of Rick Flair - dont be a chump! get the longer line, the upgrade will take you MAYBE an hour and a half including installing the extensions. if you decide to use our DEK2000 ( dong extension kit 2000) you will definitely need a longer brake line , and if you have the original 03 brake line... bruh... its time to replace that thing. its a liability at this point
@TJ my entire bike is a liability😂 thanks for answering my man. I love your vids. I'll probably just delete the front brake at that point. Wanna get the tank, outlaw shifter, and fork extensions.
@TJ I made my choice. I ordered the Dong Extension Kit 2000 and I'm just gonna delete my front brakes, take the disk off, and ride in style. Now I gotta save up for that peanut tank. Also, I appreciate the military hookup. Props to supporting military members.
