So long as you use the screens supplied it should be fine especially since on the 1100s the carbs are a bit under the tank. So unless you like driving through ponds you should be fine.

@James Everette dont helicoil anything you arent going to throw in the trash. Use a time-sert if you want to keep it. the rubber at the bottom may be your wiring harness under there buddy lol!...
