Twin Filler Axed Chopper Gas Tank (Universal)

This completely awesome axed chopper gas tank style became popularized by the painter Dean Lanza in the LA chopper scene.  Sold new in many different variations by brands like Paughco and Jammer, the distinctive tank design was known as an axed tank only if it was made from an "axed" or cut and modified stock tank. Back in the day, originally made from fat bob tanks, narrowed and welded together, they were a more affordable and viable option if you didn't want a wassel, peanut or banana tank.  This tank isn't made from some crusty old fat bob gas tank, but made from new material and looks super rad! All tanks are pressure tested but we strongly recommend you pressure test before painting and line your tanks with Red-Kote!

• 18.5" L (including mounting tabs),  10.00" W, 8.5" D
• Tunnel Width - 2.375"
• Tunnel depth at rear of tank approx 1.5"
• Tunnel depth at front of tank approx 4"
• Capacity - Approx. 2.1 gallons+-
• Fuel bung is 1/4" NPT
• Fuel ON/OFF valve and T-tape included
• Two vented chrome gas caps included
• Tanks are not lined. We recommend using Red-Kote!

Guess I have to say this - These tanks are raw steel. If you don't paint them, they will rust.
