07 Honda Shadow VT1100C Top End Rebuild Recommendations

As the title says, I’m currently in the process of taking the engine out of my bike due to one of the piston rings deciding it doesn’t want to play nice anymore.
I’m currently on the lookout for either a complete top-end rebuild kit or recommendations for piston rings. Right now, I’m leaning toward just replacing the piston rings, but I’m open to suggestions.
While I have the engine out, are there any other things you guys would recommend checking, replacing, or doing while I’m in there? I’d rather take care of anything that makes sense now than have to pull the engine again later.
Any recommendations on brands, parts, or things to look out for would be greatly appreciated!
P.S bike is sitting at roughly 10,000 miles
