00 shadow areo 1100 RESURRECTION

I'm new to working on Honda bikes. I just bought my first broken one and it's a 2000 Honda Shadow areo 1100. I've managed to get power to it and got it to turn over when pressing the button. The carbs are clean. But the bike came with the carbs already off. So I'm wondering where do all these hoses go to, where do the hoses connect to on the carbs, and if there is a way to delete them or at least some of them. Also I'm wondering what is some important key things to do to this bike or look out for a while getting it back to being able to be rideable. For example on a Yamaha v Star 2000s model I always drill a hole past where the clutch cable goes on the clutch handle to move the clutch cable to. to create a friction zone for the bike. It's something that's a must for any/all 00's vstars. Is there anything like that that I need to do. Thank you for your input
