Acceleration Hiccups

New forum member here, riding and enjoying my second bike (first harley, 2012 Sportster Iron 883, Fuel inyection)
but notices something that troubling, at least it is for me (again, new to harleys) when I accelerate the motor seems to skip a beat
once in a while, at the begginng I thought it might be a spark plug or air filter problem, changed the spark plugs to new ones,
and cleaned the air filter (made sure it was washable, and let it dry properly before reassembly).
Dont know what to review next, should I check the gas filter?
or is ther something i should review next?
any thoughts?
