I have a 93 honda vt600. I just rebuilt the carbs velocity stacks open exhaust gravity feed factory tank location elivation is about 3800 feet . Used the TJ tuening sheet. From the plugs i can tell im running a little lean but not bad. Any time I cruse over 45 at 1/2 to WOT for more than a minute bike sputters out and dies i have to let it sit minute and then it will fire right up. If I ride with no gas cap I can cruse farther and at higher speed for slightly longer times. I have tried using a vented fuel jug instead of tank it also does the same thing. I have replaced every ignition component coil plugs wires pulse generator the works. I have adjusted the float to factory spec twice to be sure I have tried multiple different fuel filters it still acts like it runs out of fuel then needs to catch up. Any speeds under 45 so in town riding can ride all day no problem.
