TJBC pipes on early Shadows

The pipes offered by TJBC for the VT1100c have a disclaimer in their description about earlier models-such as the 1986- which would require removing the side cover to run the pipes.

Sorry if the question is obvious. But would that be the only thing needed? There looks to be a section of frame running where the pipe would come out from behind the rear jug.

Removing the cover or making a smaller one wouldn't be an issue, but I don't have the tools or skills to chop the frame up. Just hopin for a clarification! Thanks!

@Jordan Powell we have not been able to procure an 85 or 86 model for any testing. they were kind of experimental years, and in 87 the design changed a lot. it changed again later down the line but we can confidently say the exhaust we make will fit all VT1100 models, except the 85/86 if you choose to try and fit them up to your 86, thats up to you.
