Quick Connect - Not Quick


  • I really, REALLY hate the "Quick Connect Fitting" on the fuel pump of my 2012 Honda Shadow Phantom 750. It's nearly impossible to get off and is in no way quick. Which brings me to my question. I noticed in one of your videos the fuel pump had been modified replacing the "Quick Connect Fittting" port with a brass nipple and a clamped hose. This would be a much better setup, in my opinion. So do you have a video on how to do that? Or perhaps a list of necessary parts to make it happen?

  • @JW That was an emergency fix. not recommended. there is a special way to remove the fuel line from the stock connection. gotta take your time though and dont rush it, if it breaks, youll need to buy a new one lol 


  • Ok, thanks. Emergency or not I think its a much better setup. No, real problem from a flow control and serviceability stand point. I bet parts for your fix would still be cheaper than the hose from Honda.
