I’m looking through Facebook marketplace I have found a 1986 Honda gold wing for sale. According to the lady it was her husband's bike. He got to where he could ride anymore but did routinely start the bike. The bike currently has about 9,500 miles on it and has been sitting for 10 years as he couldn’t ride anymore. The bike has been started periodically and let ran but not driven. She has said it needs a battery for sure but she isn’t sure what else.
I did go take a look at the bike and it's in pristine condition. It's very clean. No rust. No smudges. Nothing. Looks brand new and shiny.
I was just wondering with a bike that old and sitting in a garage for 10 years but should I be looking for when checking out this bike?
Major issues? Potential things I will have to fix immediately and things to fix once it’s able to be driven a little bit?
If you could just give me some insight that would be great. Thank you in advance
