Recently picked this up (from welcome thread). It's a 1999 VLX600 and the seller told me I need new inner fork tubes. Would those cause the misalignment for the front tire. Below is a picture from the handlebars (straightened) looking down at my front tire.
If not the forks, how would I go about aligning the front tire so I don't veer off onto a sidewalk? TIA
@amaiz That looks terrible. I would check those fork tubes for sure but also check the outer tubes for cracks. It looks as if that bike was wrecked. verify the axel and axel bearings are not damaged. beyond that, have the frame inspected by someone who knows how. I would not ride it at all until throughly repaired and verified. Your life is worth it.
@amaiz my brother in christ, your forks are bent. You need new forks. DO NOT RIDE THAT
