I know stock length is alweays optimal. The previos owner musta had a stigmatism, cause these wires are 3-4 feet long....I can't imagine how these function properly wrapped with a service loop. I'm not sure what the actual stock length should be. Dam interwebs says 45-52 inches which seems super long....What are the optimal lengths for front and rear cables for a 2002 VT1100c with both coils mounted under tank in front of Dual Carbs, close to the neck? If I do custom routing to keep them off the heads, can I have the length for the fronts around 24 inches or so? I can't imagine that shorter is that bad.....
@2002ShadowCS your post says ignition wire length... but in your post youre saying cables so im not sure what youre talking about here. sorry!
My bad, spark plug wires........
@2002ShadowCS ok so all you do is just pull the stock ignition wire off and cut your new wires to the same length, heres a video that shows you how to do the whole thing - https://youtu.be/_U0XheccdJE?si=ABd2NRu4d_nc-EQq
Yeap, unfortunately I think the previous owner made his own, cause even the front ones are almost 3 foot long....i could buy stock, and they'd be the right size, but if I purchased your wire kit, I don't think 3 and 4 footers are good.......
@2002ShadowCS if you get the kit you can cut everythign to the actual length you need.
