97 Honda shadow vt1100

Getting back on the road, and I bought a 97 shadow for a rather good price. I rode it an hour home, as it was sputtering around 75 mph, and it wouldn't start back up once I got there. I opened it up, and one of the choke cables wasn't attached, it didnt have a coolant overflow under the tank, the wiring was jacked up. I cleaned the carbs, changed spark plugs, oil, coolant. Put it all back together, minus the coolant overflow. Rode it around a little, and decided to check what the rpms were at and tune the carb. It started spraying gas out of the t connector. I put a new connection on and new fuel lines to the carbs, new spring hose clamps, I ordered a coolant overflow tank. Put it all back together, and started tuning, and it's still spitting fuel out. I also couldn't find the other hose to hook up the coolant overflow. Decided that maybe i didnt hook the carbs back up right. I have a manual but really can't find a diagram of fuel and vacuum hoses to the carbs. I'm gonna give it another look, but i was wondering if anyone has any ideas where to find such pictures. When i tore it apart, my dad was on the right side and I was on the left. I took pictures, but he didn't. lol

Im willing to bet you dont have the actual honda manual. a lot of the other manuals dont have the diagrams and pictures. i found a few images, just doing a basic google image search. if the wiring was messed up, not much i can do for ya there but id def siggest getting a HONDA service manual for your year and model they work wonders!
