I absolutely hate the tank on this bike but the frame shape has me baffled as to what to do about it. Any suggestions? Thanks.
@William Willis yup. and now you know why i shelved the 4 tanks that i tried to make for that monstrosity, HAHA!
I cant tell you how many poeople have asked me this. Everyone comes in asking me to make a tank for it and i can tell most people have never pulled their tank off to see whats under her skirts LOL!
If you look at the underside of the tank, youll see its about as narrow as it can get without becoming an hourglass shape. My struggle was trying to shape something that looked better from the side and above. Its possible, but then you're left with like a 1 gallon or less tank due to having to kill all the space in the tank with the backbone tunnel.
I am currently shopping for a running 1100 and ill give it another go at some kind of gas tank, ill be sure to post it up here if i come up with anything, for now, glue a piece of butcher block to the tank, its big enough for a party sized charceuterie board with cheeses and meats!
