Hi all I've got a 95 vt1100 ace purchased not running and don't have a clear history on bike. Original exhaust was rusted and the carbs needed cleaned so I went straight to max performance kit as it was a nice bundle. Bike now "runs" but the first cylinder is after firing through the exhaust and just putting my hand by the pipes appears to be missing as well. Fuel pump does not come on unless jumped. Fuel cut off relay has battery power at coil wire and icm wire, and shows ground when ignition is on. Front spark plug smells of fuel and is black so I assumed no spark however a sparkplug tester shows spark. Curious on yalls thoughts. Hopefully I'm just overthinking it and need to step back and let someone call me an idiot for not checking something 😆.
Update coming to it the next morning it is not missfiring just after firing from the forward cylinder found tj tuning book and red this is a lean condition at idle. Sprayed some brake clean around carb and intake boots (they're new but were cheep Amazon). And no response i don't feel any exhaust leak by where the exhaust is bolted to the head. And adjusting the mix screw did not appear to do anything. I installed the #50 pilot jet when rebuilding the carbs.
