Hey everyone,
My name is Mauri. I've been riding an 04 VT750 for a couple of years and love it. It's pretty much stock with the exception of the exahaust (Cobra). She's ugly as ugly can be but she's treated me right! So, because of that bike, I've been window shopping on the market for something bigger. I found an 05 VTX 1300R that I got for pretty cheap. Didn't think too much about what it was going to take to get back on the road as it had been sitting for 4 or 5 years. The guy I bought it from did let me know it had rust in the gas tank, but being the "I can fix it" guy I am, I didn't think it would be a huge deal. To make a long story short, I've been working on the tank for a couple months now and can't get all the rust and sealant that was used previously out. I did get the bike running (on a janky setup) and it rides like a dream. Hopefully I can get the tank situation figured out. From all the videos I've watched of TJ, I enjoy the community and want to be a part.
