Hey all, I just bought a running Shadow 750 that had been sitting for the last 10 years. The last owner is 85 yrs old and broke his back shortly after buying the bike. He only put 20 miles on it. He bought the bike with 2k miles. I cleaned our the gunk in the tank, put some fresh fuel in it and it started almost immediately. There is some rust in the tank, so I'm working on that. It was stored in a garage under a cover. No rust and the frame looks brand new as well as the paint. When I found this bike I had to rescue it.
@Shawn Dinkins highly recommend you chgange the oil/filter, coolant, plugs, tires, chain and ignition wires. Great score man! enjoy!
Already rebuilt the carbs with TJ Brutal performance kit. All fuel drained, lines replaced, all fluids drained/flushed. Looking for fat white out tires and tubes, any help with that would be great. I'm bobbing this as I can afford it. The main thing is to get it running and rolling. I'm a retired Motor Officer and have been riding all my life. I was hit while on patrol in 2005 and retired in 2008. I haven't ridden since. I've missed a lot of time with my son, who is 30 now. I have never rode street bikes with him since he was a little guy on the back of my bike. Looking forward to getting back out there.
@Shawn Dinkins Sounds like youre covering all the bases! We are actually in the process of getting a LOT more tires on the site in the next few weeks, like thousands, so keep an eye out! Hope you guys get to have a great time out there riding!!!
