The AIS Block Off Plates are necessary to remove the AIS (Air Injection System) from your Honda Shadow VT600. This system was typically found on most California bikes but may be on other state bikes. The following models may require the AIS plates if you want to remove your stock intake system and run a velocity stack. Check out this video to help determine if you will need AIS plates! - How do I know if my Honda Shadow needs AIS Block Off Plates?

AIS Block-Off Plates will not work with a stock set up. They are intended to work with our Velocity Stacks and Performance Tuning Kit or Complete Carb Performance Rebuild Kit.
There are two plates to a set, these will fit VT600 models with the AIS and some models of VT750 up to 2003. If your VT750 has an EFI system instead of carbureted, you will need our PAIR Block-Off Plates
These plates allow you to remove your AIS (Air Induction System) in a mardi-gras festive manner from your bike and cover the little reed valve left on the top of your heads. That's right I said HEADS! The AIS is govt imposed pile of tubing, hoses and other tomfoolery that your bike doesn't need to run well , and really clutters up the top of the motor. All that can be tossed off a cliff, or stuffed into a turkey and deep fried! We made these plates so you can pull the system off the bike and block off the reed valves on top of each cylinder when you are upgrading to a velocity stack like a real pro.
** Not all years require the block-off plates to remove the Air Injection System**
If you are unsure if you need these or not, take a look at the pics. There is a pic of the stock aluminum cover for the AIS reed valve with hose connected to it, if you have one of these on the top of each head cover, then you can remove them and replace with the AIS block off plates.
For some models of VT750, you will want to pull the reed valve out before installing the AIS plate.
AIS Block-Off Plates may show small imperfections and markings that are inherent to the raw metal. They are aluminum or brass, so they can be easily scratched.
