Description

The Backdraft Stainless Steel Exhaust for select Honda Shadow VT750 Spirit, ACE, RS gives your build an unrestricted exhaust design, bolt-on mounting, and stainless pipes that develop their own character with every ride.

Manufactured in our shop right here in the USA, these pipes start with a stainless finish and take on a golden hue as they heat-cycle. Put some miles on them and let your Shadow earn its jewelry on the way to Valhalla.

Why run Backdrafts?

  • Bolt-on mounting: Designed for the compatible VT750 models listed below, with mounting hardware included.

  • A finish that changes with your bike: Stainless develops a unique heat patina over time, giving each set its own look.

  • An unrestricted exhaust design: Build your intake and tuning setup around it to get the engine running correctly after the change.

  • Made in our own USA shop: You’re buying pipes manufactured by TJ Brutal Customs.

Exhaust gaskets are NOT included. Plan on new gaskets when installing your exhaust.

Do I need to tune my bike?

Yes - plan for tuning when changing your intake or exhaust. The correct approach depends on your bike’s fuel system and the rest of your setup.

Carbureted models need carburetor tuning and appropriate jetting. Fuel-injected models need tuning guidance appropriate to their EFI system; a carburetor jet kit is not the answer.

“Anytime you change intake or exhaust, you MUST tune!” - The Book of Saint Brutal, chapter 69, verse 420.

    Installation notes

The exhaust boss and collar will not sit flush with the exhaust port. A gap is normal. Do not try to close it by over tightening the exhaust nuts.

    Caring for your stainless pipes

Stainless changes color with heat and use. That golden hue and evolving patina are part of the appeal.

Want to freshen up the finish? With the pipes completely cool, gently use a maroon hand pad to restore their appearance.

Do not wrap these pipes. Exhaust wrap voids the warranty and increases the risk of corrosion and failure.
