Almost 20 years ago, I bought my first motorcycle, a 2005 Honda VT600, and dumped it in the snow not a mile from the dealership. That little Honda took me on an unexpected ride full of hard sh*t and fun sh*t. I’m grateful for all that's happend though because I believe life happens for you, not to you, leading me to found TJ Brutal Customs.
After being fired again and living in a friend’s garage, things looked bleak. In 2006, my brother let me ride his Suzuki Intruder. I told him motorcycles were dangerous. The next week, I bought a Honda Shadow VLX and started crafting parts in my garage, taking my bike apart every weekend to make it perform the way I wanted.
With little work, my friend Jon let me go ham on a Triumph T100 to pay for lifes necessities. Living on cheap burritos and free beer, I was finally doing fun sh*t! Posting pictures of my parts online led to orders from people, and “I” became “we.” Now, we’ve designed hundreds of parts and apparel for over 100,000 satisfied customers.
It took risking being authentically me, abandoning a paycheck for “what ifs,” to take that brutal ride. Authenticity is a currency that never loses value. Be yourself and invest in what lights you up! Life flies by quickly, so don't waste it wearing a mask or living by someone else's rules.
At TJ Brutal Customs, we’re dedicated to being our weird, wacky, and fun selves, offering a place for you to express yourself through riding, fabricating, and enjoying cold beers with friends and family. Being yourself can be brutally hard. But life is brutal, so join us and do fun sh*t!
To do fun sh*t. And we believe the best way to accomplish that, is by building motorcycles with the unconventional afftermarket motorcycle parts we design and make ourselves. And if we love it, we make it available to you.
