1983 yamaha xvz1200 venture.
I have a 1983 xvz1200 that I want to build a bagger chopper out of. Part of this means a radio update. Problem i am having is if the radio is removed the bike can not run. I'm sure it is a theft prevention measure. I am rebuilding all the plastics with aluminum diamond plate, and then a custom sound system installed.
The problem is I need to know what is going on in that radio that causes the bike to not run without it. If anyone knows what and how to bypass it any help would be awesome.
