honda shadow 1100 tunning and rejetting


  • I'm fighting for my life, trying to figure out this rejetting/ my currant set up is 

    198 main jet washer shiv thing on the end nearest the blunt end 

    45 pilot 

    Aftermarket exhaust and airfilter 

    I used my old dyno jet needle set up because the performance needle wasn't working due to me still having a airbox but i dont know where to go from here. it runs good all the way until 1/2 to wide open that's where the sputtering begins and it hard to gain speed, it doesnt stop doing this until I go back under half the halfway point. This feels like the symptom of a too rich condition,ive used every notch i could but the second one from the blunt end. I just need to know if I'm close or I should just go back down to 190 and just put the shiv at the end nearest the blunt end and go from there. also no vacum leaks and i just replaced the fuel pump. plus 195 runs bad in the mid range
