I just learned the vt600 I bought has an aftermarket carb. Probably some amazon thing. Will the tjbc rebuild kit that I already bought be fine for this? I'm assuming since I'm replacing so much of the guts anyway, it may not matter. What are your thoughts?

@James Everette my dear brother in bikes, good sir that is an amazon special. LOL! our rebuild kits will not work with that. i strongly suggest you pick up the correct stock single carburetor. any vt600 single carb from 2004 to 2007 will fit your bike. This is because you have the TP sensor and that wasnt rolled out until 2004

The seller still has the carb he replaced it with, but he doesn't think it's oem either. Is there a telltale signature for the real deal? I sent you the video he sent me on instagram

Update: the guy that sold me the bike still had the oem carb! I'm gonna clean the piss out of it, rebuild it, then scratch my chin for 8-12 business days while I try to tune a carb for the first time!
