Has anyone deleted the fuel pump on a 1988 vlx and kept the stock tank? If so do you have pictures. i know tj went into some depth on this subject but there are no pictures and he doesnt specify if he has done it with stock tank.

I think you are able to do so, as long as the fuel line does not go below the carbs so gravity can push the fuel into them. If it does go below, it needs more "pressure" (fuel in the tank weighing down on the fuel in the fuel line) to get the fuel to the carbs.
@Nick Vander voet @Ramy Zaian was 100% correct! just corkscrew the fuel line or turn the petcock so it orients towards the left side of the bike.
