NOTE: When installing your exhaust , the boss and collar will not sit flush with the exhaust port, there WILL be a gap. Do not overtighten the exhaust nuts as this can lead to undesirable results.
Do not wrap these pipes, doing so will void the warranty as well as increase the chances of corrosion and structural failure. Please refer to the support page for an explanation as to why we do not wrap pipes. All pipes are handmade and will have minor differences from set to set, being the nature of custom, handmade parts, you may see some plating differences, weld differences, but all pipes have been checked to make sure that with proper care, they will have a long life on your bike. Color change is normal on all pipes even when plated as they are single wall exhaust. If not cared for properly rust and corrosion can even occur on plated pipes

I've been looking for exhaust pipes on my 96 Shadow ACE VT1100C2 for 3 years. The only thing that has stopped me from buying these before was that they look so drastically different than the OEM pipes. I want to take the bike to shows, so I was aiming for OEM style, with great looks and performance. Recently I discovered the pipes I had on were pressed against the floorboards I had causing vibration, making the pipes crack and fall apart. I immediately put in an order for these pipes, and I'm glad I did. While they aren't the style I wanted at first, I love the way they look. I know that these are built more for people that are basically building a bike, so I wasn't too worried about the lack of instructions. Took a bit to figure out that the exhaust bosses were not symmetrical LOL. I did have one of the bracket bolts that came with the exhaust snap off while trying to adjust the position of the pipes. Nothing a quick trip to Menards and a run through the nut with a rethreader couldn't fix. While I would've bought chrome pipes shaped like what I had before in a heartbeat, I'm glad I was able to find anything at all! Thank you!!!!
