This custom peanut gas tank for Honda Shadows is made to perfectly fit the backbone of the Honda Shadow VT750DC Spirit 2001 - 2007 VT750DCA, Spirit 2001 - 2007 & VT750DCB Spirit 2003 - 2007
This is not a retro-fitted tank that has been hacked apart, with a horrible looking tunnel welded closed. This honda shadow gas tank doesn't sit 3 inches off your backbone leaving you with a massive gap between the end of the tank and frame, no, this tank sits perfectly on the backbone of your bike, is made by hand by TJ Brutal Customs and will last for years to come.
This custom fuel tank WILL NOT fit any other models.
Installation is easy, set the tank on the backbone where you want it to be and mark the mounting tabs on your frame preferably with a transfer punch. Then drill a pilot hole, and follow with a 3/8" or 25/64" hole into the frame. Then just re-mount the tank and bolt it on with the included hardware!!
Tank Dimensions are approx - 16"L, 9.25"W, 8"D
Capacity - Approx. 2.4 gallons+-
Includes:
**Note: To prevent spillage from fuel expansion and vibration, do not overfill, fill within about an inch from the filler neck. We also recommend using T-tape on all plumbing threads. You do need to line these tanks. They will rust eventually and then you will be big time sad when the gas starts to ruin your sexy 1800$ paint job from the inside out. **
Guess I have to say this - These tanks are raw steel. If you dont paint them, they will rust.

Hiya, pals! Gather ‘round the garage because I’ve got a hot dog of a tale to tell about my custom peanut gas tank from none other than TJ Brutal Customs — and hoo boy, is it a banger!
I picked this little beauty up for my 2002 Honda Shadow VT750DC Spirit, and lemme tell ya: if Goofy tried to install it, even he couldn't mess it up — that’s how easy it was! It fit like Cinderella’s slipper (or like Mickey’s ears on his noggin). No elbow grease, no swearing at inanimate objects, just a smooth install that had me back on the road faster than Donald Duck loses his temper!
And the looks? Golly! This tank is so good-lookin’ I caught myself winking at it in the reflection of my neighbor’s chrome bumper. I mean it—this thing transformed my ol’ Shadow from “suburban dad's weekend hobby” to “bad-to-the-bone boulevard brawler.” I rolled into the gas station, and even the pump asked for its photo with the tank. It’s THAT good.
Now, I don’t know what sort of magic dust those TJ Brutal fellas are sprinkling in their shop, but I’m pretty sure this tank is enchanted. It’s got the perfect old-school peanut shape, all the attitude of a rockabilly greaser, and the charm of Mickey himself. It screams, “I’m vintage and violent...but with manners.”
Every time I twist the throttle, I half expect the tank to yell, “Toodles!” and hand me a wrench. It’s just that kind of party.
And when My wife saw it? Oh honey, she snapped her fingers, flipped her bow, and said,
“if you spend one more night polishing that tank instead of me, I’m trading you in for a biker with better taste in accessories!”
Talk about high-octane sass! Even my Shadow blushed.
My only regret? Not buying a second one to wear as a hat. Honestly, it’d still look better than 90% of my wardrobe.
In conclusion: If you’ve got a Honda Shadow and a pulse, and you don’t have one of these TJ Brutal Customs peanut tanks yet, what in the name of Clubhouse Capers are you waiting for?! This thing’s the real deal — bold, beautiful, and built with enough style to make Minnie throw shade and her gloves.
Ten outta ten Mousekatools. Would ride again.
I had a rusted out stock tank from the previous owner and got irritated trying to clean it so I decided to get this sexy beast. Initially I was nervous thinking it wouldn't fit like a lot of other auto parts I've gotten from other brands and sites but this fit perfectly on my 750 and I'm beyond happy that I chose to get this.
The craftsmanship is remarkable. Love this tank perfect….
Quality welds. Simple install. Connections were smooth. Instructions to line the inside were straightforward. Would buy it again
