Any time a change is made to exhaust or intake, a re-jet is necessary. This tuning kit is meant to work with a free flowing velocity stack intake and a free flowing exhaust system. This is intended as a Honda Shadow performance upgrade with velocity stacks and or/open exhaust and is not recommended for a stock intake setup. This kit will not work with other aftermarket intakes but it will work with most aftermarket exhaust systems that are more free flowing than stock.

The screw handle is numbered so you can easily count how many turns in or out you are to make tuning a breeze!
These Jet Kits are NOT intended to work with stock intake/exhaust setups this is specifically for open intake and exhaust.

Bought the kit and installed with the smallest jets each and two shims under the needles. Idled good, but ran way too rich. Kept going down on the main jet size buying new ones to finally get it to run right with TJ pipes and velocity stack. Setup ended up being 48 pilot, 2 shims, and 130 main after taking my time working back from a 142 main seeing how it ran through all throttle stages. I live at about 4500ft, so to anyone at similar elevation just know the mains in this kit are going to be way too big to run right. In general it seems that for open exhaust and intake you really should be raising the mains 2 or so sizes otherwise it seems to have a bog right before WOT unless you really wind it out. Maybe they work better at sea level where TJ is though, but yeah way too rich of mains in my opinion! Thanks for making parts for these shadows TJ!
Nice quality parts love the fuel adjustment screws
No problems.
Ive been helping and teaching my son about his new steed. Thank you for the wealth of information.
I could not live without the extended idle fuel screw. OMG I am so frigging sick of needing ketchup for my fingers tuning on a hot engine. Don't even have to get off the bike, just reach down and tweak it practically..on the fly. High quality parts all the way around. Including the main jet needle shims simply says yea...we have done this before...a little, lol, we got you...
Thank you TJBC for understanding the machine you sell parts for. This is becoming rare!
Brilliant really happy with the quality of the jets and having the videos to help me pull the carbs strip them and rebuild them golden definitely gonna get more of them in the future!
