These hardtail mono struts for all years of Honda Shadow VT600 and VLX 600 (1988 - 2007) are machined from solid 6061 aluminum billet and designed to hardtail and lower your bike just enough to get the look you want without sacrificing handling. The Mono Strut replaces the Mono Shock on your VT600 to achieve the hardtailed look and feel, without the fabrication know-how and mess!!
Made with the builder in mind, you can leave these struts exposed for a clean, well-thought-out look.

The 9.00" length ( hole center to hole center) is to drop the bike just about as low as it can go without frame modification and still maintain good handling physics and steering response. So you will get around a 1.75"-2" drop depending on tire choice.
These struts will bring the swing arm closer to the rear fender horns/forward frame loop.

Great strut
High quality machining and finish on the part. The install was easy with the help of my son. I was surprised about how low it actually dropped the ass end. Overall the fender horns are about 3” lower than when the spring was installed. In combination with the one bolt solo seat, I may have lost a filling or two going over bumps, since there is zero rear suspension, so I will be looking to add a new seat in the near future.
This is my 5th build, and this is one of my go-to items.
Great way to turn your vlx into a “hardtail” without having to weld. install is a breeze about an hour of your time. Quality is great packaging is great. You won’t be disappointed.
Love the quality and ease of installation. Took me about 30 minutes tops and she’s squatting nicely now.
