I have been looking for a seat hinge that feels secure and doesn't move from side to side that is not ridiculously expensive. This one fits the bill, it slightly moves from left to right but I think it is impossible to make one that doesn't move at all. The price is very reasonable! Happy with purchase.

I’m happy with the product. Worked out great with no modifications required. I did run into one issue with the nylon nut locking completely, requiring me to cut it off. Fortunately, Home Depot carries these exact carriage bolts and nuts.
I am switching from a standard seat to a spring seat on an old harley softail (1992). There is not much out there. Real easy to install (1 line it up. 2 drill a hole. 3 tap the hole. 4 bolt it on.) Material quality is top of line. I will get more of these brackets. I jave purchased parts from this crew in the past and everything was awesome.
I got it to replace the thinner part that came with the bobber seat kit I got and it worked great! Stopped the seat wobble with the springs as well which is major plus.
