These solid handlebar riser bushings fit all bikes with a 34mm riser pocket in the top tree. These will work with the stock Honda Shadow handlebar risers, as well as with aftermarket handlebar risers. In some cases if you drill out the stock metal bushings inside the Honda Shadow top clamp, you will be able to mount aftermarket handlebar risers or Harley risers in your top clamp!
Includes:
Some people may need the lower bushings some may not, enough people gave feedback that they would be helpful so we decided to make sure you have what you need!
These do not replace the stock rubber bushings that are permanently in your top tree, they replace the removable rubber bushings under the risers.
Please pull your risers off to make sure you have a 34mm pocket. some models of VT750 and VT1100, VTX and other shadows did not have this pocket.
ONLY ONE SET NEEDED TO STABILIZE YOUR RISERS
Your Honda Shadow stock top clamp has rubber riser bushings that get mushy over time and your bars can flex pretty bad. This leads to poor handling and a dangerous situation when you need to handle your bike quickly to avoid a collision. The solution to this is to use these solid riser bushings for a positive connection between bars and front suspension.

To say I'm pretty impressed is an understatement! These things popped in to place with distinct clicking sound the fit was so perfect. Bolted on my pull-back risers and adjusted my bar in 5 minutes and it is rock solid. Couldn't be more satisfied. I have "The Silver Box" on order and can't wait to install everything for proper pictures once the set up is done!
I recently swapped the stock bars on my 2013 Honda Shadow Phantom for the Traditional T-Bars from this shop and was VERY happy with the new feel right away. The riding position and overall control felt awesome.
THOUGH… once I hit 50–70 mph in curves, the bike started to feel a little too shakey. I knew something had to be flexing. I was still running the original factory riser bushings (13 years old, mind you), and after reading the product description about how the stock rubber bushings get mushy over time and allow the bars to flex, it clicked immediately. That was 100% the issue.
These Honda Shadow Solid Handlebar Riser Bushings (Black) were exactly what I needed.
Installation was incredibly simple (check out the photos). I did one side at a time so I didn’t have to worry about alignment during re-installation. I used the top and both bottom bushings/washers as shown, and everything went together clean and tight.
Unfortunately, and completely unrelated, less than a mile after installing them, my clutch cable decided to snap on me. Bad timing! So I’ll update this review once I get that sorted and can properly test the handling at speed.
That said, just from the install and how solid everything feels now, I’m confident the brittle, flexible OEM rubber bushings were absolutely contributing to the instability. These solid bushings eliminate that flex and give you a much more direct, planted feel at the bars, which is exactly what you want when carving curves or making quick corrections.
If you’re still running old factory rubber bushings, especially on a bike that’s over a decade old, don’t think twice. This is a simple upgrade that addresses a real safety and handling issue.
Keep both wheels on the ground and keep on wrenching!
It was time to replace the rubber boots so I bought these bushings. They fit perfectly and feel sturdy
