Right now I do not have a Honda I have a 1997 Triumph Trophy 900 sports Tourer and a wrecked Ducati Monster Dark 620ie and at the moment are unable to ride at all last ride was Monday 22nd September on the Ducati when overtaking a Cement truck as got alongside the rear wheel he suddenly turned left next thing I know is some people looking down at me and pain. It was obvious that my right humurus was broken, it's now pinned, but it' not healing very well surgeon says it will likely be next March before it's OK.
So The Ducati is going to cost more, about twice as much, that it's worth to repair so am thinking about what to replace it with. It was bought to get me back into riding after a 20+ year abscence from riding the last bike was a street fighter built around a 1983 Honda FB750 DOHC unit using the stock Honda forks and Yamaha XS cast alloy wheels in a Cycle Haven (Lincoln UK) Multi Ridgid hard tail frame with Mustang tank and arrowhead seat, alloy slab yokes (triple trees). I do love this style am thinking this is what they call a "Bobber" now?
Well this means that I have the winter to give this more thought and to research things alhough I am English I live in SE Europe, Bulgaria, and struggle with the language but have been looking throught the online sales listings at bikes and recently that has included the Honda Shadow an it's sub models there are a couple of very nice Shadow 750's listed and a few 1100's as well as few 600's those that drew my eye are the more sporty/lowrider styled ones rather than the dresser style. One really sweet looking 750 Shadow named Black Widow no idea if that an official name or one applied by an owner but it does look good.
