  • Hey man! I have the same bike you have and got the same exhaust, stacks and performance carb kit.. what size jets did you use? I was only able to change the pilot jet with *50 but I didn't get any main jets? I got

  • @Jeff Coombs beautiful bike man! i really dig it! @Rafael Torres if you are missing parts, please reach out to customer service throught he website, they can help you out.

  • Thanks, @TJ Brutal

@Rafael Torres I started with the smallest of both as recommended in the guide.  No issues at all.  They're both a size up from stock which fits well with the free flow exhaust and stacks.

  • @Jeff Coombs

Hey Jeff!  Sweet ride.  I have the same bike 2002 and thinking of TJ stacks.  Thanks for the jetting  info.  Have you had it up to highway speeds with no issues? I tour some with mine.  Did you leave the vacuum slide springs stock length?  Thanks!

    Rocky

  • @ROCKY RODOSTA I used everything in the kit and I think the springs are the same length.  I unfortunatley haven't tested it at highway speeds yet.  I rebuilt and painted the front forks right after I did the carbs (forks were leaking, had to fix that first) and had an epic slow speed crash in my driveway when testing them because I'm awesome and locked up the rear tire (that drum brake works) and hulk smashed myself into the ground with the bike on my back.  Two broken fingers and two surgeries later I haven't been back on it yet.  My son got it to 118mph (indicated, on a closed private road of course) before the upgrades so I have no doubt it'll be awesome when I grow a new pair and get back on it.  There's so much potential in that bike.  It IS, however, about the most laborious thing in the world the tune the carb because you have to take the stacks off every damn time you need to take it out to adjust and even then you need to be a world class tetris champion.

  • @ROCKY RODOSTA dont cut the springs please LOl
