I have a 2001 Honda Shadow 600. I want to upgrade to a lithium battery. Do I need to do any upgrades to the rectifier or any part of the charging system?

You do not need to make any changes to a bike when switching to lithium. You will however need a lithium-specific charger/tender if you use one. If you want, you can verify that your voltage regulator is still functioning within parameters, but lithium batteries are manufactured to work under the exact same conditions as lead acid batteries in a vehicle.
I'm actually moving back to AGM after using lithium for many years in two of my bikes. In my case the benefits just don't outweigh the negatives.
@asousabomb you dont have to do anything to the biike, you do need a lithium charger/ tender though, its new technology and . i run them in all my bikes, lightweight, high cranking amps, some people love them some hate them but for me personally, ive really enjoyed them. the restart technology on some of them is really cool, so you always have a lil juice to fire up even if the battery got drained.
@Daniel Holmstrom excellent recommendations man! thank you again!
